Operation Gratitude

For the month of July please join us in supporting the fantastic charity, Operation Gratitude!

Started in 2003 Operation Gratitude is a non-profit, volunteer based charity seeking to lift morale to the tens of thousands of soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines currently on deployment. They give civilians anywhere a way to express their respect and appreciation to the men and women of the US Military. The charity sends care packages containing food, hygiene products, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation, all wrapped with good wishes of love and support.

There are many ways that we can help; most urgently needed are:

  • Personal letters for deployed troops and for wounded warriors
  • Hand-made ties/scarves
  • 15″ stuffed animals for the Battalion Buddy Program
  • Beanie Babies/Webkinz/Trolls
  • And of course financial donations to pay for postage

So while celebrating our nation’s independence this month, for the price of a postage stamp you can now show your appreciation directly. If you have more to give, please do, but if your money is tight there are still ways for you to help – write a letter, knit a scarf, or just spread the word. Please check out the Operation Gratitude website, and also hit up their social media spots with likes and follows: Facebook | Twitter | Pinterest | YouTube | OG Blog
